August Glesius

August Glesius (born July 2, 1903 in Zeltingen , † March 25, 1963 in Edenkoben ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Glesius initially worked as an agricultural vocational college teacher and later took over his parents' winery as a graduate viticulture director. In 1962 he was elected honorary president of the Edenkoben Carnival Association Frohsinn , whose president he had been since it was re-established in 1949.

Glesius was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament for the FDP from 1955 until his death . The state parliament elected him a member of the third federal assembly , which in 1959 elected Heinrich Lübke as federal president .
