August Gottlob von Hopffgarten
August Gottlob von Hopffgarten , also simplified by Hopfgarten , († November 19, 1776 in Naumburg (Saale) ) was a court lord of the Electorate of Saxony and a canon in Naumburg and a manor owner.
Life
He came from the Thuringian noble family von Hopffgarten and placed himself in the service of the Wettins . At the court in Dresden he was appointed to the electoral Saxon court and judiciary. He became canon at Naumburg Cathedral and took over his father's manor Zembschen . When Hopffgarten died, he was solemnly buried on November 23, 1776 in Naumburg Cathedral. His manor Zembschen fell to the younger brothers, who shortly afterwards bought it to Ludwig Koch in Weißenfels .
