Frederik Christian Rosenkrantz (born January 19, 1724 in Copenhagen ; † May 15, 1802 there ) was a Danish statesman .

Life

Frederik Christian was a member of the Danish noble family Rosenkrantz . His parents were Iver Rosenkrantz (1674-1745) and Charlotte Amalie Skeel (1700-1763). He was the heir to Rosenholm Castle and had Niels Rosenkrantz (1757-1824) determined to be his legate, since the son Iver (1749-1787) from his marriage to Dorte Reedtz (1730-1801) died before him.

Rosenkrantz was senior war secretary for the naval forces from 1763 to 1766 and for the land forces from 1766 to 1770 . From 1784 to 1788 he was Minister of State and President of the College of the Admiralty.
