August cross

August Kreuz (born October 14, 1873 in Herzhausen , Siegen district ; † around 1960) was a German farmer, domain administrator and author of several non-fiction books.

Career

Kreuz was born as the son of the farmer Hermann Kreuz and Katharina Kreuz, née Schneider. After private lessons and attending the culture building school in Siegen, he joined the Prussian cultural building administration in 1894. In 1908 he moved to the administration of the domain of the Duke of Croy in Dülmen and in 1917 became its director. He was a co-founder and board member of the Association of German Regional Cultural Cooperatives and published on wastewater recycling and pond construction.
