August Nilsson (born October 15, 1872 in Enköping , † May 23, 1921 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish athlete and tug of war .
Nilsson was a member of the Swedish athletics team at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris . He finished ninth in the shot put and eighth in the pole vault. He achieved his greatest success together with other Swedish and Danish athletes who formed a mixed team and won the gold medal against the French team in a tug of war.
