August Rebmann

August Rebmann (* 1887 ; † 1967 ) was a German teacher , archivist and local researcher .

Life

Rebmann was first a teacher, then director of the state vocational school in Lauf adPegnitz . As a volunteer, he set up the city ​​archive there, which was provisionally opened in 1934 in the customs school building . He remained the director of the archive until his death. Later he was also the district archivist for the district of Lauf adPegnitz .

He published on the history of the city and the region and in 1951 co-founded the history association " Altnürnberger Landschaft ".
