August Waldeck

Adolf August Friedrich Wilhelm Waldeck (born February 9, 1836 in Schmillinghausen , † April 26, 1917 in Ludwigsburg ) was a German teacher and politician .

Waldeck was the son of pastor Karl Christian Waldeck and his wife Marie Luise nee Conradi. He married Wilhelmine Friederike Luise Bertha Buhl on June 21, 1872 in Korbach.

Waldeck attended the Korbach grammar school , where he passed his school leaving examination in 1854. He then studied in Heidelberg and Jena . He became a teacher at the high school in Pyrmont and at the private institute Dr. Marquart in Dresden. In 1859 he received the 6th teaching position at the grammar school in Korbach, where he became a collaborator in 1864. In 1865 he was promoted to sub-principal and in 1867 to vice-principal. In 1900 he retired.

From 1874 to 1884 he was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont . He was elected in the constituency of Eisenberg .
