Augustinermuseum Rattenberg
The Augustinermuseum Rattenberg is an Austrian museum in Rattenberg in Tyrol.
It is housed in the former monastery of the Augustinian hermits in Rattenberg, founded in 1385 , which was taken over by the Servites in 1817 . In 1971 the monastery was abandoned and the building complex was converted into a museum, which opened in 1993.
With its Gothic cloister, the late Gothic Hofer Chapel, the baroque Ecce Homo - Chapel and the great monastery church is one of the outstanding historical monuments of the region.
The museum mainly collects and shows sacred art from the Tyrolean part of the Archdiocese of Salzburg .
