The Aukammtal facilities belong to the Aukamm spa area in Wiesbaden - northeast and in the eastern part of Wiesbaden- Bierstadt , Hesse .

The facilities were built in the 1970s and designed with generous lawns, numerous individual trees, some of which are exotic, the Aukammbach with a variety of shrub beds and a wide main path. The Aukammbach flows in an artificially created stream through the modeled area. Still water zones alternate with flowing areas and in some places the water splashes over thresholds down towards Rambach . The curved bank line and the varied bank planting create the impression of a natural body of water. Since there are a few small fish every now and then, the kingfisher can also be seen here. Numerous niches with seating directly on the stream or a little higher on the path invite you to quiet relaxation. A few years ago exposed aggregate concrete elements were removed and a Kneip water treading facility was built.

In the eastern part, an alluvial forest-like landscape with sedge has emerged, the narrow paths of which fasten the soft subsoil with wood chips. Since the 1950s, intensive agricultural and horticultural use has declined in the valley floor and nature has reclaimed the area. Since around 1990, the near-natural area has been renatured through systematic maintenance measures.

At the end of the valley, a pharmacy garden was laid out in 1986, which is accessible free of charge from May to October.

Closer surroundings

To the north of the facilities are private sanatoriums and clinics with spacious green areas and the public thermal swimming pool. Aukammallee runs parallel to the valley to the south of the lifts. The facilities connect directly to the rear spa facilities in the Rambachtal and thus form a walkable green connection between the Kurhaus and the spa area or Wiesbaden-Bierstadt . The border between the districts of Sonnenberg , Northwest and Bierstadt runs north of the Aukamm Valley.

To the north of the eastern Aukamm valley is the Aukamm orangery with the occasional café and a garden area. The high road embankment of the federal highway 455 and an American sports facility form the end of the valley in the east .
