The Seismic Bluff is a steep cliff at an altitude of 3470 m on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises on the southwest rim of the caldera of Mount Erebus .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the cliff in 2000 after the seismic measuring station built nearby .
