Aulus Pomponius Augurinus Titus Prifernius Paetus (full name form Aulus Pomponius Gai filius Quirina Augurinus Titus Prifernius Paetus ) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD . Individual stations of his career, which he completed at the beginning of the 2nd century, are known through two inscriptions.

The military career of Paetus consisted of the usual Tres militiae for a member of the equestrian order . He was initially a tribunus militum in the Legio X Fretensis , which was stationed in Iudaea . He then became prefect of a Cohors I milliaria . The third stage was the post of prefect of Ala II Flavia , who was stationed in the province of Raetia . For his achievements in one of the two Dacian wars , he received military awards from Trajan . After finishing his military career Paetus was procurator in the province of Achaea ; this post was linked to an annual income of 100,000 sesterces .

Paetus was inscribed in the Quirina tribe .
