The Exit Music Publishing GmbH is a German independent music publisher from Halle (Westf.) , With own music labels, which in 1983 by composer and music producer founded Ulrich Hornberg and Wolfgang Sperner.

The publishing house emerged from the International Noise Orchestra (1981), one of the first culture-crossing bands. With money from concerts, the group set up their own recording studio in order to be able to produce independently.

In order to shorten distances, they founded their own labels - Ausfahrt Rec., Worldmusic Recordings, electricBlue, Beathotel and Sang Du Peuple Berlin. At the beginning of the 1990s, Wolfgang Sperner left. Britta Hamann was responsible for managing the publishing house until 2009.

In 2006 a capital agency - Ausfahrt.Berlin - was founded in Berlin for the promotion sector.

In 2010 the publishing house was incorporated into syncron-arts GmbH. The studio was relocated to Berlin and has since been operated under the name studio.Wannsee in cooperation with cmpm GmbH. In addition to modern digital multi-track technology, the studio also has traditional 24-track analog technology and a film post-production area. The studio space includes a large recording room in which live recordings by medium-sized ensembles are possible. The Wannsee Andreaskirche with its excellent acoustics can be used for larger classical sound bodies.

The labels are distributed by Kompakt.fm (rough trade), tonpool and H'art.

The publishing house also includes the Graphic Dept. Graffiterra , the production department MAMA! Send Money , Lawyers + Revolvers and the concert service One2Thousands .
