The Foreign Separation Allowance Ordinance ( ATGV ) of the Federal Republic of Germany is a statutory ordinance that regulates the payment of foreign separation allowance for federal salary recipients.

This ATGV regulates the deviations required for cross-border official measures from the general provisions applicable to federal employees on the granting of separation allowances . ( § 1 ATGV)

Foreign separation money is z. As on the occasion of reactions, secondments , Come Andie deductions , offsets granted by the domestic to foreign countries, abroad and from abroad into the country. ( § 2 Abs. 1 ATGV)

With the AGTV, necessary expenses for separate housekeeping at a place other than the previous place of work or residence are reimbursed, taking into account the domestic savings, and the material and immaterial burdens arising from them are compensated. ( Section 2 (2) ATGV)

Are entitled to federal officials , judges in the federal civil service, professional soldiers , soldiers on time , including in the federal public service seconded officials and judges, but no honor officials and lay judges. ( § 3 Abs. 1 ATGV)

ATGV are granted in the form of daily allowance for separation abroad ( Section 7 ATGV), accommodation allowance for accommodation abroad ( Section 8 ATGV), compensation for additional expenses due to separation from abroad ( Section 9 ATGV), compensation for daily return to the place of residence ( Section 11 (1) ATGV), compensation if none at the new place of work Foreign service salaries are paid ( Section 12 (7) ATGV), compensation in individual cases for security reasons or because of other exceptional circumstances abroad ( Section 12 (8) ATGV) and as travel aid for trips home ( Section 13 ATGV).

The ATGV is granted on application, which can only be submitted within an exclusion period of one year. ( Section 15 (1) ATGV)

The new Foreign Separation Fund Ordinance has replaced the ordinance of May 4, 1991 in the version published on January 22, 1998 ( Federal Law Gazette 1998 I p. 189 ), which was last amended by Article 35 of the Act of March 29, 2017 ( Federal Law Gazette 2018 I p. 626 ) has been changed. The regulations of the former "Guideline on the payment of an expense allowance to federal civil servants in cases of double housekeeping caused by work for transfers, secondments and assignments from home to abroad, abroad and from abroad to home" (AER) have been integrated into the new ATGV.
