Quincy-Basse is a northern French municipality with 60 inhabitants (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (2015: Picardie ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Laon , the canton Vic-sur-Aisne (until 2015: canton Coucy-le-Château-Auffrique ) and the communal association Communauté de communes Picardie des Châteaux .

Quincy-Basse is surrounded by the neighboring municipality of Landricourt in the south, west and northwest as well as by the municipalities of Bassoles-Aulers in the north, Brancourt-en-Laonnois in the east and Anizy-le-Château in the south-east in the canton of Laon-1 .
history
There was a Roman military camp on a hill above the village. Graves from this period are still visible.
The village was destroyed during World War I and rebuilt in the 1920s.
