Lor is a French municipality with 142 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Laon , the canton of Guignicourt (until 2015 Neufchâtel-sur-Aisne ) and the communal association of Champagne Picarde .

The municipality is located about 33 kilometers east of Laon and north of Reims on the border with the Ardennes department . Lor is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of La Malmaison in the southwest, Nizy-le-Comte in the northwest and the municipalities of Le Thour in the north-east and Villers-devant-le-Thour in the south-east, in the Grand Est region , Ardennes department .
