Pouilly-sur-Serre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montigny-sur-Crécy in the north, Crécy-sur-Serre in the northeast and east, Chéry-lès-Pouilly in the south and Assis-sur-Serre in the west. The Serre runs through the municipality.
