Dercy is located about 15 kilometers north-northeast of the city center of Laon on the Vilpion . Dercy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Erlon in the north and north-east, Voyenne in the east and north-east, Froidmont-Cohartille in the south-east, Barenton-sur-Serre in the south, Mortiers in the west and south-west and Bois-lès-Pargny in the north-west.
