Lierval is a French municipality with 118 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Laon and the canton of Laon-2 ( Craonne until 2015 ).

Lierval is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nouvion-le-Vineux in the northwest, Presles-et-Thierny in the north, Monthenault in the northeast, Colligis-Crandelain in the east and southeast and the municipalities of Trucy in the canton of Guignicourt in the southwest and Chevregny in the west.
