Bruyères-et-Montbérault is about five kilometers south-east of Laon . Bruyères-et-Montbérault is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Laon in the north and north-west, Athies-sous-Laon in the north, Parfondru in the north-east, Chérêt in the east, Martigny-Courpierre in the south-east, Chamouille and Monthenault in the south, Presles-et-Thierny in the West and southwest as well as Vorges in the west.
