Travecy is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Mayot and Achery in the northeast, La Fère in the southeast, Beautor in the south, the canton capital Tergnier in the southwest, Liez in the northwest and the municipality of Vendeuil in the canton of Ribemont in the north.
