Liesse-Notre-Dame is located about 13 kilometers east-northeast of Laon on the canalised Souche . Liesse-Notre-Dame is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pierrepont in the north and north-west, Mâchecourt in the north-east, Chivres-en-Laonnois in the east and north-east, Marchais in the south, Gizy in the west and Missy-lès-Pierrepont in the north-west.
