geography

The municipality, consisting of the larger Marest and Dampcourt, located directly on the border with the Oise department , is roughly halfway between the towns of Soissons , Saint-Quentin and Compiègne . The Oise and the parallel Oise Lateral Canal run to the south of the municipality .
