Eppes is a French municipality with 417 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Laon and the canton of Laon-2 (until 2015: canton of Laon-Sud ).
geography
The community is located around nine kilometers east of the city of Laon on the Barentons River . Eppes is surrounded by the neighboring communities Parfondru in the west, Athies-sous-Laon in the north-west, Samoussy in the north, Festieux in the south-east, Veslud in the south and south-west and the communes of Coucy-lès-Eppes and Mauregny-en-Haye in the canton of Guignicourt East.
