Chivres-en-Laonnois is a French municipality with 362 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Laon , the canton of Guignicourt (until 2015 Sissonne ) and the commune association of Champagne Picarde .

The community is located around 21 kilometers east of Laon Prefecture . Chivres-en-Laonnois is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mâchecourt in the north-west, Bucy-lès-Pierrepont in the north-east, Sainte-Preuve in the east, Sissonne in the south-east and south, Marchais in the south and Liesse-Notre-Dame in the west.

Until their abolition in 1879, the municipalities of Chivres-en-Laonnois and Mâchecourt formed a single municipality called Chivres-et-Mâchecourt .
