Aizelles is a French municipality with 125 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the Région Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Laon , the canton of Guignicourt ( Craonne until 2015 ) and the Chemin des Dames municipal association .

Aizelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aubigny-en-Laonnois in the west, Saint-Thomas in the north, Berrieux in the east and Corbeny in the south.

history

During the Sixth Coalition War in 1814 and during the First World War , the village was completely destroyed.
