Vendresse-Beaulne is a French municipality with 102 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Laon and the canton of Guignicourt (until 2015 canton of Craonne ).

history

The village of Vandresse was mentioned in a document in 1136 under the name Vendressa. In 1923 the two municipalities of Beaulne-et-Chivy and Vendresse-et-Troyon were combined to form today's municipality of Vendresse-Beaulne.

geography

Vendresse-Beaulne is immediately surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Paissy in the northeast, Moulins and Œuilly in the southeast, Moussy-Verneuil in the south, Braye-en-Laonnois in the east and Pancy-Courtecon and the municipality of Cerny-en-Laonnois in the canton of Laon-2 in the North.
