The Buick Excelle GT / XT / GX is a compact class passenger car from the American car manufacturer Buick , which has been sold in China since 2009 . The second generation went on sale there in 2015.

The vehicle was presented to the public as the Excelle XT hatchback at the 2009 Guangzhou Auto Show . It was launched in China in January 2010. In 2015 the Excelle XT was replaced by the hatchback version of the Buick Verano . This is based on the Opel Astra K .
The notchback model Excelle GT debuted in late 2010 and was sold from early 2011.

Buick has been producing the second generation of the series as the Excelle GT sedan since March 2015 . The hatchback model was discontinued in favor of the Buick Verano, but the estate version Excelle GX has been sold since October 2017 . Based on this, Roewe presented the i5 in November 2017 . The Chevrolet Monza , introduced in 2019, uses the base of the sedan.
