The Buick model B-55 was a five-seater passenger car that was only manufactured by Buick in the USA in model year 1914 as the top model and the brand's first six-cylinder. The following year it was replaced by the C-54 and C-55 , the former being a roadster. These types were further built in the following year as models D-54 and D-55 .

The new model B-55 had a six-cylinder in-line engine which delivered 48 bhp (35 kW) with a displacement of 5,424 cm³. The wheelbase of the touring cars with cardan drive, front engine and rear wheel drive was 3,302 mm. The cars had spur gears with 3 forward gears. They were delivered as standard with green bodies and ivory-colored wooden spoke wheels. Stylistically, they were similar to the smaller models B-24 and B-25 .
The B-55 was made 2,045 times.

The successor to the B-55 was the C-55 model, the body of which was more rounded and now offered space for seven passengers instead of five. The car now had cantilever suspension on the rear axle and the engine output rose to 55 bhp (40 kW). The touring car was accompanied by a two-door roadster with two seats, the C-54.
In the following year, the models were built without changes as the D-54 and D-55 and then discontinued.
The C-54 / D-54 roadster was produced 1,546 times, while the C-55 / D-55 touring car models were produced in 13,315 copies.
