The Opel Cascada is a convertible from Opel . It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show and has been on sale since April 20, 2013. Like Opel Karl , Opel Adam and Opel Zafira, the model was discontinued at the end of 2019 and has not been available for order since June 2019.
Model history
With the Cascada, Opel again offered a convertible after the convertible version of the Astra H ( TwinTop ) - there is no open model of the original Astra J. Like the last Astra G Cabriolet, it has a soft top that can now be opened not only when the vehicle is stationary with the handbrake on , but also at speeds of up to 50 km / h. The name is derived from the Spanish word cascada , which means waterfall.
The Cascada is an independent model on the GM Delta II platform developed by Opel , which is also used for the Opel Astra J , among others . Much of the technology comes from the larger Insignia . According to Opel, there is no Astra part to be found on the body and nothing is the same as the Astra. In this respect, the Cascada is its own model located between the Astra and the Insignia. It was produced in Gliwice, Poland . The Cascada was sold under different brands: in the USA as Buick , in Great Britain as Vauxhall and in Australia as Holden .
Furnishing
Various special equipment was offered, such as an assistance package with parking aid and a blind spot warning . More on packages (Comfort Package, Park & Go package, blister package, sports package) bundled equipment with steering wheel and seats , reversing camera , driving light detection, rain sensor , active curve light , cornering light function , front camera (with distance indication , traffic sign detection , front collision warning, Lane assistant ), anti-theft alarm system and the usual equipment were also available.
The basic prices ranged between 25,945 and 36,155 euros at the time of market launch, depending on the engine.
