The Opel GTC Concept is a concept vehicle from the German manufacturer Opel , which was presented at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show . The design of this coupé comes from Bryan Nesbitt and was intended to introduce the design language that will be used in the subsequent Opel models. At the same time, the second generation of the GM Epsilon platform was presented with the GTC Concept .
body
The front of the vehicle is dominated by striking aluminum air inlets. The lighting system was implemented with LED technology and the associated freer forms. With this study, Opel has also further developed the Opel pole and the Opel logo. The new logo contains the company name in the upper part of the now somewhat narrower ring and the lightning bolt has become a little more plastic. The side doors have a pronounced curve. At the rear, darkened taillights, a small rear spoiler and two exhaust pipes stand out.
inner space
The dashboard is very similar to a later series production. The dashboard lighting is red, this color can also be found in the decorative stitching.
A level loading area can be achieved by moving and folding the rear seats. Opel describes the seating concept as the Flex-4 system, based on the Flex-7 system from the Opel Zafira and the Flex-Space system from the Opel Meriva .
engine
The concept vehicle was equipped with a revised V6 engine from the Opel Vectra C OPC and a manual six-speed gearbox. With the help of a turbocharger, an output of 300 hp (220 kW) is achieved from a displacement of 2.8 liters .
