From the end of 2019, the Grandland X (alongside the Zafira Life and Vivaro C ) will be the first Opel vehicle to be sold again in Russia after 2015 .
Cooperation with PSA
As early as December 2012, it became known that in addition to a small car and a van, the successor to the Opel Meriva B was being developed in cooperation with Groupe PSA . A year later it was announced that the cooperation in the small car segment would be given up, instead the cooperation would be expanded to light commercial vehicles in the B segment. After the Crossland X, the Grandland X is the second vehicle to come onto the market as a result of this cooperation. The SUV is based on the EMP2 platform, on which the second-generation Peugeot 3008 introduced in 2016 , the DS7 Crossback presented at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and the Citroën C5 Aircross are based.
