The Opel Campo ( marketed as Vauxhall Brava in the UK ) is a pickup truck that was sold in Western and Central Europe from August 1991 to December 2001. It was based on the Isuzu Faster TF and was initially offered as the Isuzu Campo . The model was built by IBC Vehicles later GM Manufacturing Luton .

As was customary for the models of the competitors ( Toyota Hilux , Nissan Pick-up , Mitsubishi L200 , Mazda B-series ) and Ford Ranger , the Campo was available in three versions: as a two-door with two seats, as a two-door with two Seats and a second row of seats, only suitable for short journeys, with two emergency seats ( Sportscab ) and, as a four-door model, with a fully-fledged second bench ( crew cabin ). The manufacturers Truckman, Road-Ranger and Brahma offered hardtops to cover the loading area.

In May 1997 the Campo received a facelift. From now on, the model was also produced for Holden as Holden Campo . The performance of the 2.5 l diesel engine was also increased from 76 to 100 hp.

Shortly before the end of production in March 2001, Opel launched a special series from Campo, the "Limited Edition". Two-tone paintwork, electric windows and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors and air conditioning were standard. The "Limited Edition" was only available as a crew cabin with all-wheel drive and the 3.1 liter turbo diesel or the performance-enhanced 2.5 liter turbo diesel with intercooler.

Engines

The engine range consisted of three diesel engines (2.5 D with 76 PS / 100 PS and 3.1 TD with 109 PS) as well as a gasoline engine (2.3; 94 PS). The sports cab and crew cabin were available with all-wheel drive and also had a reduction gear and manual or automatic freewheel hubs . The 3.1 liter diesel was only available with all-wheel drive.

Isuzu has been offering the Isuzu D-Max since 2002 , which is called the Isuzu Rodeo in the UK . The D-Max has also been available in Germany since 2006.
