The Opel Tigra was a passenger car model of the German car manufacturer Opel , which was produced from September 1994. In Great Britain it was sold as Vauxhall Tigra , in Brazil and Mexico as Chevrolet Tigra and in Australia as Holden Tigra .

Opel advertised the Tigra in 1995 with a lavish commercial in which Franziska van Almsick literally dived into New York city ​​traffic .

In 1995, a Tigra V6 was designed as a source of ideas without specifying a series production. This was a mid-engined rear-wheel drive vehicle powered by a 3.0-liter gasoline engine with 154 kW.

The Irmscher company converted the Tigra into a pickup and called it Irmscher Fun. 25 pieces are said to have been sold.
