The Chevrolet Colorado is a pickup truck from the Chevrolet brand . An identical model from the GMC brand is marketed under the model name Canyon . In South America, the model is marketed under the name of its predecessor S-10 .

Since its introduction in 2004, it has replaced the S10 as a compact pickup in the American Chevrolet model family. The Chevrolet Colorado is based on the GMT355 platform, which it shares with the identical GMC Canyon and the Isuzu D-Max , and on which the GMT345 platform of the Hummer H3 is also based.

Driven by a 2.8-liter, 4-cylinder in-line engine with 128 kW (175 hp), or the optional 3.5-liter, 5-cylinder with 162 kW (220 hp), the “Chevy Colorado” is the Inferior to the competition in terms of performance and pulling power (approx. 2000 kg), but available as a two-door Regular Cab . The four-door Extended Cab and Crew Cab variants are also available. All models are available with both rear- wheel and all-wheel drive , as well as manual and automatic transmission.

In Australia it was sold as Holden Colorado . In 2008, a new model of the same name was introduced to replace the Holden Rodeo .

The second generation was initially launched in Asia and Europe as the Isuzu D-Max , but has also been available on the US market since 2014. In Australia, this generation is again being marketed under the Holden brand.
