The bodice (in Austria and Bavaria also Leiberl ) was a widespread piece of clothing for children in Germany, which was worn between an undershirt and shirt. Suspender belts , now called suspenders , were attached to it , to which a pair of stockings could be attached. In addition, the word is now used synonymously for T-shirt in Austria and Switzerland .

The camisole came out of use in the time of need after 1945 and has disappeared from children's clothing since the invention of tights around the mid- 1950s .

species

In sport, wide, colored items of clothing that are worn over the actual sportswear are called camisoles. They are used to clearly identify the teams in training or play. Usually these camisoles are made of nylon or some other synthetic fiber.
