The Chevrolet SS is a sports sedan from the US car manufacturer General Motors . It was offered in the US between 2013 (2014 model year) and 2017.
Model history
The SS is the first new Chevrolet sedan with rear-wheel drive in the USA since 1996. It was and was presented for the first time at the 2013 season opener of the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Daytona International Speedway ( Daytona 500 2013 ) at the same time as the NASCAR racing vehicle with a design based on it available in the US between 2013 (2014 model year) and 2017 (2017 model year). Production ceased at the same time as that of the Holden Commodore VF and the closure of the GM plant in Australia.

The vehicle is based on the Holden Commodore of the fourth generation in the series VF ( GM Zeta - platform ).
