The Chevrolet Lakewood is a 5-door station wagon manufactured by the Chevrolet company in the model years 1961 and 1962. The Lakewood was the station wagon version of the Chevrolet Corvair and was thus the entry-level model of the manufacturer's station wagon range. The size and design of the vehicle corresponded roughly to the VW Type 4 and had the rear engine of the Corvair with 2376 cm³ displacement and an output of 80 bhp (59 kW) at 4400 rpm. As with the Corvair, the wheelbase was 2743 mm and a manual three-speed gearbox was installed.

In 1961, the Lakewood was available as the Corvair Series 500 with a simple version or as the Corvair Deluxe Series 700 with a more sophisticated version. In the following year, the simple equipment was called the Corvair 700 series and the upscale Corvair Monza 900 series . In the 900 series the engine had 84 bhp (62 kW) and was connected to a PowerGlide two- stage automatic.

In 1963 Corvair station wagons were no longer offered. A total of 32,120 copies were made in two years, of which only 2,362 (only 1962) had an automatic transmission.
