The Chevrolet Spark (internal type designation M400 ) is a small car from the US manufacturer General Motors that has been available as the successor to the Chevrolet Spark M300 since 2015 . The vehicle was developed by GM Korea and is sold worldwide, with the exception of Europe. The Opel Karl is largely identical to the vehicle . In Australia it is sold as Holden Spark .
history
The subcompact was presented at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) in April 2015. In some markets (e.g. Mexico) the Spark M400 is sold alongside the Spark M300 , which received a major facelift in 2017, and it replaces it in others the M300 completely (e.g. USA).
In 2018 the Spark M400 received a facelift .
drive
In South Korea, the vehicle is offered with a 1.0-liter in-line three-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum output of 55 kW. It is available with a five-speed transmission referred to, or a "C-TECH" automatic transmission connected. On the North American market there is a maximum of 98 hp 1.4-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine that transfers its power to the wheels with a five-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable gearbox . The front wheels are driven independently of the engine .
