The Daewoo Damas was a pickup truck that Daewoo Motors produced from 1991 to 2011, GM Korea from 2011 to 2013 in South Korea and UzDaewoo in Uzbekistan from 1996 to 2013. The series was a badge engineering model of the ninth generation Suzuki Carry . The minibus and panel van versions were marketed as Daewoo Damas and the flatbed truck as Daewoo Labo . In some export markets, the Daewoo Damas was also offered as the Daewoo Attivo . After the takeover of Daewoo by General Motors , Daewoo now produced the identical models Chevrolet CMV (minibus and panel van) and Chevrolet CMP (pickup) for some markets such as Central America and the Middle East . Suzuki had previously produced these models for GM at its subsidiary Maruti . GM Daewoo Vidamco from Vietnam assembled the Damas for a few years from 1996 in CKD construction for the domestic market.

Compared to the Hijet models, as they were once built in Japan , the Damas and the Labo had the Suzuki F8A 797 cm³ SOHC four-cylinder petrol engine with an overhead camshaft, as was the case with the export version of the Carry in Europe , the Suzuki Super Carry, was installed. A 5-speed manual transmission transferred the power. In addition to power steering , air conditioning was also available as an option. The Damas was available as a 5- or 7-seater minibus or a 2-seater panel van and pickup. A high roof variant was optionally available. The curb weight is given as 750–810 kg.

The Damas models received a facelift in 2010 with a modified front and interior, but the engine remained the same. An LPG version was then also available for South Korea .
