The Daewoo Lanos is a model of the Korean car brand GM Daewoo . The Daewoo Lanos was also built in Poland from 1997 by FSO under license from Daewoo and sold as FSO Lanos from the beginning of 2004 until production was discontinued at the end of 2007.
history
It was introduced in mid-1997 as the successor to the Nexia . From the start of production it was available as a hatchback with three or five doors and as a four-door notchback.
In the late autumn of 2000, the series received a facelift, which included other taillights, new door panels, ABS for all models as standard and better noise insulation. The SE plus equipment variant was also added. In addition, all models received the Euro 3 standard.
In early 2004 it was replaced by the Daewoo Lacetti . The Daewoo Lanos is currently only manufactured in Egypt. General Motors Egypt is the producer there .

Abroad
In the Russian Daewoo offshoot Doninwest founded in 1999 , the Lanos was marketed as Doninwest Asso . In the meantime, the Doninwest brand no longer exists, but the Lanos is still sold in a slightly modified form as the Chevrolet Lanos in Russia.
