The South Korea department mentioned was founded after the model rights to the Korando and the Musso were bought up . While the Korando production line was relocated to Izhevsk , TagAZ took over the entire hall in the SsangYong plant for the Musso production line . The press hailed this event as a new joint venture and a great opportunity for both companies.

Legal dispute with GM Daewoo
GM Daewoo sued TagAZ-Korea, accusing the company of infringing intellectual property rights and trade secret information . In concrete terms, GM Daewoo accuses the Taganrogski Awtomobilny Sawod of stealing the blueprints and some electronic data storage devices of the C100 project, and of having developed the C100 Vega from them. As a result, GM Daewoo is now demanding a judicial ban on the manufacture of the C100 Vega and all vehicle parts. General Motors is also demanding a judicial import ban for the C100 Vega and the dissolution of the alleged SsangYong-TagAZ joint venture. Whether the data was really stolen or not, however, is still being tried to determine in court.
Production of the C100 Vega ended in 2012. The successor was the new Tagaz C10 , a licensed model of the Chery A3 .
