The Tagaz Road Partner is an off-road vehicle from the Russian automobile manufacturer TagAZ and has been built in Izhevsk since 2008 . Like the Tager , the Road Tiger was developed by the SsangYong Motor Company . The production of today's Road Partner began in April 2000 under the name SsangYong Musso , which had been built until 2008. The engines of the SsangYong Korando were also installed in this car.

After SsangYong ran into financial difficulties in 2008, TagAZ bought the rights and production lines for the car and renamed it Road Partner . The Road Partner is produced in both South Korea and Russia and was redesigned in 2009 to be more different from its predecessor. While the Road Partner is manufactured in the form of a closed off-road vehicle in Russia, the PickUp version of the model rolls off the production line in South Korea, which was called Musso Sports at SsangYong .

The closed version is available in two engine versions: The MT1 with a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2295 cm³ and an output of 150 hp and the AT3 which drives a six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3199 cm³ and an output of 220 hp.

The pickup MT8 built in South Korea has the weakest engine: it is also equipped with a four-cylinder engine, which can only have an output of 100 hp with a displacement of 2067 cm³. All models comply with the Euro 3 standard.
