The Tager is an off-road vehicle model from the Russian car manufacturer Taganrogski Awtomobilny Sawod and is already one of the factory's original models. Production of the model as the Doninwest Kondor (second generation) started in February 2000 . With the dissolution of the Doninwest brand name two months later, the vehicle got its Korean name SsangYong Korando back and was produced under a new name for the Russian market. When the South Korean SsangYong Motor Company (part of GM Daewoo ) got into financial difficulties due to the financial crisis in 2007 , it was forced to sell construction plans and all necessary rights for the models that were no longer produced. After almost nine months of negotiations, TagAZ was awarded all rights to Musso and Korando as well as the purchase of both production lines. TagAZ dismantled the production line and relocated it to Izhevsk , where the Korando has since been manufactured on two streets as Tagaz Tager .
The Tagaz Tager got new engines and is now offered with 150 HP (4 cylinders, 2295 cm³ displacement) and 220 HP (6 cylinders, 3199 cm³ displacement). The five-door version is only built with 150 hp. The turning radius of the tager is 11.6 meters. The ground clearance is 195 mm. The load volume is 350 liters for the small version and 1200 liters for the five-door model. The Tager's fuel consumption is 13.8 to 19.9 liters per 100 km, with a tank volume of 70 liters. The total permissible weight of all versions is 2515 kg.
