The Tagaz Master is a licensed and sister model of the Japanese Isuzu NHR and was produced by Taganrogski Awtomobilny Sawod for the Russian home market. The master was specially adapted for the local market and was also visually different from the Isuzu sister model. The bumper, the radiator grille and the headlights, which were redesigned for the Master, were striking.

The Master was available in three types of construction: chassis (without construction), flatbed and pick-up with or without plan constructions. A distinction is also made between the Master's short (LC 100, 4827 mm) and long wheelbase (LC 150, 5998 mm). The Master was powered by a 105 HP (77 kW) diesel engine with a displacement of 2,607 cm³. The loading area is designed for a load of 1.5 tons.

In July 2009 a second production line was built in Taganrog for the model, where it was now also manufactured for Russia as the Hyundai Trex . Engines and superstructures were the same. Production of both models ended in 2012. The successor was the Tagaz Hardy .
