The Hyundai Palisade is a sport utility vehicle from the South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai and is currently the largest SUV in the product range.
history
The vehicle was presented at the LA Auto Show in November 2018. It is the successor to the Hyundai Maxcruz . The palisade is produced in Ulsan, South Korea . The SUV will be available in North America from summer 2019. The car has been available on the South Korean home market since December 2018; it is unlikely to be offered in Europe.
At the beginning of February 2020, Hyundai suspended production of the Palisade because components from China were not available due to the coronavirus epidemic .
technology
The palisade is sold with up to eight seats. Among other things, it has a head-up display , blind spot monitoring , a lane departure warning system and sensor-based monitoring of the rear seats, which should prevent children or animals from being forgotten in the car when the driver and front passenger leave the vehicle.
The Kia Telluride , presented at the North American International Auto Show in January 2019, is based on the palisade.
Technical specifications
The SUV is powered either by a 3.5 or 3.8 liter V6 petrol engine with 204 kW (277 hp) or 217 kW (295 hp) or a 2.2 liter diesel engine with 142 kW (193 hp) ) or 149 kW (202 PS). The Palisade has an 8- speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive as standard ; all-wheel drive is available for all engine variants at an additional cost .
