The Kia Telluride is a sport utility vehicle from the South Korean car manufacturer Kia Motors and is currently the largest SUV in its product range. The car is named after the community of Telluride in the US state of Colorado .
history
The series vehicle was presented at the NAIAS in January 2019 in Detroit . The Telluride has been in production in West Point (Georgia), USA, since February 2019 . It is not expected to be offered outside of North America. Already at the NAIAS in January 2016, the Kia Telluride Concept was a preview of a new SUV from the manufacturer.
The Hyundai Palisade , which was presented at the LA Auto Show in November 2018, uses the same platform, but is manufactured in Ulsan , South Korea .

The Telluride is sold with up to eight seats in the equipment variants LX, S, EX and SX. Among other things, it has a head-up display , blind spot monitoring and a traffic jam assistant .
Technical specifications
The SUV is powered by a 3.8 liter V6 gasoline engine with 217 kW (295 PS; 291 HP [SAE]). The Telluride has an 8- speed automatic transmission and front- wheel drive as standard ; all-wheel drive is available at an additional cost . The 2.2-liter diesel engine with 149 kW (202 hp) offered in the Hyundai Palisade is not available in the Telluride. The 2016 presented concept car Telluride Concept has a plug-in hybrid drive .
