The Kia Avella was a small car from Kia Motors . It was built between 1994 and 1998.
In North America and some countries in Southeast Asia it was sold under the name Ford Aspire , in Japan and Australia under the name Ford Festiva . This vehicle was never offered by Kia Germany. The notchback version of the Kia Avella was called the Kia Delta .
In the first year 115,576 units were sold, in 1998 sales had dropped to 27,850 units. The successor model was the Kia Rio .
Sales of the Ford Aspire ended in 1997, and it was not until 2010 that the segment was re-occupied by the Ford Fiesta in North America, as in the 1970s . The Ford Festiva was sold in Australia until 2010, where it was replaced by the Ford Ka I. In Japan, the Festiva was replaced in 1996 by the Ford Festiva Mini Wagon based on the Mazda Demio .
