The Ford Deluxe was a car model from Ford that was built from 1941 to 1942 as a medium equipment variant, parallel to the Standard and Super Deluxe models . After the Second World War , it was revived in 1946–1948, albeit as the most cost-effective option. After a year break, the Deluxe was also available again from 1950–1951, parallel to the better equipped Custom Deluxe .

In September 1940, Ford presented the successor to the V8 with the option of the well-known V8 engine with 3,621 cc and 90 bhp (66 kW) output at 3,800 rpm. or a new six-cylinder in-line engine with 3,700 cm³ displacement and the same output, but already at 3,300 rpm.

The Deluxe represented the middle equipment variant and was available as a 2 or 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé with 3 or 4 seats or 5-door station wagon.

In the following year, the cars were built without major changes. A total of 299,855 Deluxe were built in two years.

The first post-war models were presented in September 1945. The Deluxe was essentially the same as the pre-war model, but after the Special was discontinued it was the cheapest variant and received a revised radiator grille. The V8 engine had been drilled out to 3,916 cm³ and now made 100 bhp (74 kW) at 3,800 rpm. The station wagon was no longer available.

In 1947 there were no changes. In 1948 the six-cylinder engine delivered 5 bhp more with the same displacement.

In three years, 223,232 Deluxe were created. In the following year, the Ford series replaced the Deluxe for one year.

In 1950 the simplest Ford was again called Deluxe. The pontoon shape introduced in 1949 was adopted without major changes. There were no technical changes either.

In the 1951 model year, the globe disappeared in the radiator grille and was replaced by two rocket-shaped horns. There were also other taillights.

In total, the 3rd series Deluxe was built 608,986 times. In the following year, the Mainline replaced the Deluxe.
