The first generation of the F6 was nicknamed Typhoon and was powered by a 270 kW (367 hp) 4.0-liter in-line six-cylinder turbo engine. The maximum speed of the car is given as 255 km / h.
New aprons and a sports exhaust are attached to the body to further underline the sporty appearance of the Ford Falcon. A rear wing to improve the driving dynamics at high speeds is also added to the Typhoon. However, the interior is also very refined. The driver takes a seat in strongly contoured sports seats with the embroidered FPV logo. In contrast to the sporty exterior, the dashboard is rather plain. FPV itself writes about the dashboard of the Typhoon, like all other models, “clean, European-influenced styling”, that is, European-influenced clarity. The only factors that bring a touch of sportiness to the interior of the Typhoon are two additional instruments on the center console for turbo boost pressure and oil pressure and the starter button. Metal pedals were optionally available for the F6 Typhoon.

In 2008, with the introduction of the new model generation, the suffix "Typhoon" was dropped. The F6 is now based on the new Ford FG Falcon. The engine now delivers 310 kW (421 hp) and the chassis has been redesigned. In addition to the normal version F6, a version called F6 E is also available with the same technology but more subtle styling. At the same time, the F6 Ute based on the Ford Falcon Ute was introduced.
Later the name was changed to F6 310 , according to the engine power. The F6 Ute is no longer offered.
