history

Was presented to the vehicle together with the sixth generation of the SUV Ford Bronco on July 13, 2020. Together they will form a sub-brand. The first models of the Bronco Sport should be delivered in North America in autumn 2020.

In particular, both vehicles are intended to be competing models for Jeep . While the Bronco competes against the Jeep Wrangler , the Bronco Sport targets the Jeep Compass . The Ford Escape provides the technical basis for the smaller Bronco Sport .

In contrast to the Bronco, the Bronco Sport will also go on sale in Europe. There it would be positioned between Ford Puma and Ford Kuga .

Technical specifications

The 4.39 m long SUV is powered either by a 135 kW (184 PS) 1.5-liter petrol engine with three cylinders or a 183 kW (249 PS) 2.0-liter petrol engine with four cylinders. Both variants have a turbocharger , all-wheel drive and an 8- speed automatic transmission and are also used in the Ford Escape. The tires are available in different sizes - from 17 to 29 inches.
